Hi there!!
Welcome to Burnet Middle School! I am excited to serve as the 7th grade and 8th grade (L-Z) counselor. This is a new role for me and I am so excited to learn everything and grow in this role.
My office is always welcome and I am always here to talk with students should they ever need someone to listen to, advice, or just want to pop in to say hi! Students can expect to be challenged in my office while thinking for themselves and reflecting on their choices to benefit their future.
I am one of the leaders of the Leader in Me program here at BMS and am so excited for the first year of implementation with students. Leader in Me is designed to completely change the dynamic of schools in which a culture of respect and leadership is developed along with an increase in achievement in academics.
This is my 6th year in education and 3rd year in Middle School.
I graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Early Childhood Education and have taught 4th, 5th, and now middle grades. I have a Masters of Science degree from Texas A&M International University in School Counseling.
