Burnet Middle is proud to announce Coach Cory Kuhn as our November GEM. Cory is a graduate of Burnet High School and was hired this year as our new boys' athletic coordinator. When we presented Cory with his award during pre-athletics, several of our 6th graders made a point to come and tell me how much Coach Kuhn deserved it.
Cory's colleagues commented that, "Since Coach Kuhn has joined our campus he has instilled the importance of what an athlete should look like on and off of the field. He has held his students accountable both on and off the field and has supported teachers when students get off track in the classroom. I believe these are important life lessons every student needs to know as they progress into adulthood and appreciate the time and effort he puts into not only BMA athletics but BMS as a whole.
Cory is a breath of fresh air! Cory has brought so much strength and honor to the Athletic Department. His style of expectations for young men off and on the field empowers youth to be exemplary. His Spirit~Pride~Honor should be commended. We are so delighted to have Cory as part of the BMS Team!"
