Jeremy Lejuene- Principal
Jeremy LeJeune is the Principal at Burnet Middle School. Mr. LeJeune came to Burnet Middle School, after serving four years as Principal of Dessau Middle School in Pflugerville ISD. Mr. LeJeune also served as an Assistant Principal in Pflugerville and Orangefield ISD. Jeremy earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Southwest Texas State University in Exercise and Sports Science, and earned his Master’s Degree in Education, from Southwest Texas State University as well. He later attended Wayland Baptist University in San Antonio, where he earned his Principal’s certification. Prior to becoming a school administrator, Jeremy was an Athletic Trainer/Teacher at Luling, Converse Judson, and San Antonio MacArthur High Schools. Jeremy and his wife Donna, who is also an educator, are the proud parents to three wonderful daughters. Jeremy is very proud to be working with the students of Burnet Middle School, and helping them reach success and become life-long learners.
Brad Behrendt- Assistant Principal
Mr. Behrendt will be starting his first year at Burnet Middle School and his 30 year in education. Mr. Behrendt is a native of West Texas where he is a graduate of Odessa High School and a graduate of The University of Texas of the Permian Basin. He has been married to his wife Cheere, who is also in education, for 31 years and they have a daughter named Kali.
Kelly Bolin has been an Assistant Principal at Burnet Middle School since 2015. She is originally from Sweetwater, TX, but moved to the Austin area at 15 and graduated from Lake Travis High School. Kelly has a BA in Mathematics from the University of North Texas, a MS in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas Arlington and a Principal's certification from Lamar University. Kelly has taught everything from 6th grade math to AP Calculus AB/BC and has worked as an Instructional Coach and RTI Coordinator prior to becoming an Assistant Principal. She has 20 years in education. Kelly lives on a ranch outside Liberty Hill with her husband, also an educator, four children, five dogs, six cats, six cows and five horses!

Nancy Middlebrooks is currently a Counselor at Burnet Middle School. Nancy is originally a West Texas product as a graduate of Monahans High School and University of Texas of Permian Basin. With teaching experience in 3rd, 5th, and 6th grade elementary classrooms and 7th and 8th grade middle school reading classroom, she became a middle school counselor. When the decision was made to move to Burnet, she returned to the classroom as a 5th grade teacher prior to becoming the administrative assistant at Shady Grove Elementary School when it housed 4th & 5th grade. Following 8 years in that role, she worked at Burnet Consolidated ISD in Central Office as Curriculum Coordinator. Following 2 years of retirement, Nancy was given the opportunity to return to counseling at Burnet Middle School. She decided when she was 5 years old that she wanted to be a teacher. That decision and the love of learning, teaching, and helping answer the “Why?” question for Nancy.
Vickie McElroy is our newest Counselor to BMS. She is a Burnet Alumni and was most recently a Department Head and Project Lead the Way Teacher at Burnet MS.
