Steve Grant is the Principal at Burnet Middle School. He came to Burnet Middle School in 2008 as an Assistant Principal and has been the Principal for the last four years. Steve has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin, an MBA from the University of Houston - Victoria, and a M.Ed. from the University of Houston - Houston. Prior to becoming a school administrator, Steve was a Special Education teacher in Fort Bend ISD in Sugar Land. Steve is the father of triplet boys who are Juniors at Burnet High School. He takes pride in knowing he as raised his boys in the great community of Burnet and through the Burnet school system. Steve’s wife Amy is a former Burnet High School teacher and is currently the Food Service Director at a neighboring school district.
Kelly Bolin has been an Assistant Principal at Burnet Middle School since 2015. She is originally from Sweetwater, TX, but moved to the Austin area at 15 and graduated from Lake Travis High School. Kelly has a BA in Mathematics from the University of North Texas, a MS in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas Arlington and a Principal's certification from Lamar University. Kelly has taught everything from 6th grade math to AP Calculus AB/BC and has worked as an Instructional Coach and RTI Coordinator prior to becoming an Assistant Principal. She has 18 years in education. Kelly lives on a ranch outside Liberty Hill with her husband, also an educator, four children, five dogs, six cats, six cows and five horses!

Nancy Middlebrooks is currently a Counselor at Burnet Middle School. Nancy is originally a West Texas product as a graduate of Monahans High School and University of Texas of Permian Basin. With teaching experience in 3rd, 5th, and 6th grade elementary classrooms and 7th and 8th grade middle school reading classroom, she became a middle school counselor. When the decision was made to move to Burnet, she returned to the classroom as a 5th grade teacher prior to becoming the administrative assistant at Shady Grove Elementary School when it housed 4th & 5th grade. Following 8 years in that role, she worked at Burnet Consolidated ISD in Central Office as Curriculum Coordinator. Following 2 years of retirement, Nancy was given the opportunity to return to counseling at Burnet Middle School. She decided when she was 5 years old that she wanted to be a teacher. That decision and the love of learning, teaching, and helping answer the “Why?” question for Nancy.
Vickie McElroy is our newest Counselor to BMS. She is a Burnet Alumni and was most recently a Department Head and Project Lead the Way Teacher at Burnet MS.
