Biography
Education and serving students and teachers has been my passion for the past 25 years! Originally from the central Texas area, I graduated from Leander High School, received my Bachelor's Degree from Oklahoma Baptist University, and obtained my Master's Degree through Concordia University. I started my career as a middle school English teacher in Lake Dallas, TX, and then taught at a variety of levels for the next 10 years. For 17 years, I worked for Leander ISD, serving in the roles of teacher, ELA facilitator, coordinator of staff development, and assistant principal at Running Brushy Middle School. Joining the Burnet community in 2018, I have had the honor to serve as an assistant principal at Burnet High School for 2 ½ years and now serve as the Burnet Middle School Principal.
My husband and I have been married for 29 years and enjoy spending time with our 20year old son, Kirin, and our three cats. Kirin is a sophomore at Oklahoma State University (go cowboys) and is majoring in Biosystems Engineering.. In my spare time, I love to exercise, read and travel.
