Welcome to Academic Workshop/6th Grade Math!

Hello! My name is Alyssa Ettinger and I am so excited to work with you this year! I have spent the past two years working as a Special Education Instructional Partner at BHS, and have now moved down here to BMS for my first year as a teacher! I graduated in May 2025 with my Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Education from Gracelyn University.

I have a great passion for education and take special care to ensure every student has what they need as an individual to be successful. Everyone learns differently and at different rates- it is a goal of mine to ensure that every student receives the supports they need to learn and grow not only academically, but as young people as well.

Outside of the classroom, I am a single mother to a very rambunctious toddler who is one of my joys. I am involved in my church here in Burnet, and enjoy reading, baking, hiking, and playing video games when time permits. I love to spend time with my son, my other family, and my close friends.

Below you will see my contact information and daily schedule, as well as links to our class syllabus.
The best way to contact me is by email- my working times will be Monday-Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Please allow 24 hours for me to respond as I will often be away from my desk while teaching. For emergencies, please contact our front desk who will then be able to transfer your call to my classroom.

Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns! We are all in this together, and I am looking forward to an amazing school year! GO BULLDOGS!!
