Welcome to 6th Grade Math!

Hello! My name is Alyssa Rockwell (Ettinger) and I am so excited to work with you this year! This will be my 4th year as a Burnet Bulldog and my 2nd year teaching 6th grade Math! I graduated in May 2025 with my Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Education from Gracelyn University. 

 

I have a great passion for education and take special care to ensure every student has what they need as an individual to be successful. Everyone learns differently and at different rates- it is a goal of mine to ensure that every student receives the supports they need to learn and grow not only academically, but as young people as well. 

 

Outside of the classroom, I am a newlywed wife and mother to a very rambunctious toddler who is one of my greatest joys. We are expecting a new addition to the family in Spring 2027! I am involved in my church here in Burnet, and enjoy reading, baking, and watching movies. I love to spend time with my son, my other family, and my close friends.

The best way to contact me is by email- my working times will be Monday-Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Please allow 24-48 hours for me to respond as I will often be away from my desk while teaching. For emergencies, please contact our front desk who will then be able to transfer your call to my classroom.
